A simple mosquito-repellant bracelet that has sold by the millions in Europe is being introduced in the United States, according to Michael Robinson, president of the company that distributes the product in the U.S. As in Europe, it will be sold under the Dr.Rechell brand.
“It’s proven to work, and is a natural solution,” said Hackamore’s president, Michael Robinson.
The modest bracelet contains natural repellant ingredients and is guaranteed to be effective for 3 weeks. It does not contain DEET or insecticide.
“Unlike some devices that might look similar, this one really works, as millions of Europeans know, and lab and field tests have proven,” Mr.Robinson said. “It discourages biting for 3 weeks after opening. Just slip it on whenever needed.”
The waterproof bracelet is double blister-packed to preserve its shelf life for up to three years. In Europe more than two million have been sold, mainly in pharmacies and convenience stores. The product was recently informally test-marketed in Florida, with favorable feedback.
