Adaptive Designs, a leader in 3D printing Orange County services, extends a helping hand to children in need by supporting the efforts of e-NABLE, a world-wide community of groups and individuals that uses 3D printers to create 3D printed hands and arms for free, to help those who require limb-assistance.  With its resources, Adaptive Designs’ commitment would be a great boost to the community and to the children who are in need of assistance when it comes to getting assistive devices.

Adaptive Designs is at the top in 3D Scanning Orange County.  They take pride in taking on difficult projects, the kind that other companies cannot and would not handle. Adaptive Designs specializes in doing custom works for inventors, designers, and specialists in the medical field. They mostly deal with visionaries in their respective fields and Adaptive Designs helps them to bring those visions comes to life.

e-NABLE is global community of 3D printer users that have banded together to help people who are in need of artificial hands and arms. These are groups and individuals who have put aside any differences that they might have regarding religion and culture to promote the open sourcing of designs for artificial arms and hands that are 3D printable.  They help out children and individuals who were born with missing fingers, hands, and arms or those who have lost them because of war, disease, and natural disasters.

By helping with e-NABLE’s efforts to reach out to children in need, Adaptive Designs is giving back to the community that has helped it to become a leader in 3D printing Orange County. It uses a process known as additive manufacturing. This process involves using an additive that is made from plastic and then molding and reshaping it utilizing various techniques that includes lasering and heating.

Adaptive Designs has been providing 3D Scanning Orange County for more than 25 years now. They started out by working with the private aerospace industry and then branched out with working with the health-care and gaming industries. These are mostly clients that dealt high-technology developments and they needed Adaptive Designs’ unique capabilities in coming up with prototypes and in helping with design and reverse engineering projects.

‘We believe in what e-NABLE’s advocacy and what it stands for, that is why we are giving our support to the group,’ said Tony Mercer of Adaptive Designs. ‘With our expertise and experience in the field of 3D printing, we hope that we would be able to help children who are in need. This is something that we want to do for a long time now.’

You can contact Adaptive Designs for more information on how you can become a recipient of an assistive device.
