Ottawa’s annual summertime festival, the Ottawa Riverfest, announces a performance by popular LA and Chicago-area Creedence Clearwater Revival cover band Creedence Revived. The annual festival, a long-time community favorite, is taking place Thursday, August 4 though Saturday, August 6, 2017, and will feature Creedence Revived’s energetic, riveting performance on August 5, 2017 at 7:45 pm
Led by front-man Rich Perez, and featuring the talents of recognized LA and Chicago music veterans Graham Czach, Tony Montana and JD King Creedence Revived is billed as “the world Premier CCR tribute band.” Driven by the captivating vocals of Perez, once described by pop music sensation Pink as “an insanely talented singer,” Creedence Revived have thrilled audiences of over 30,000 people since 2011 with their dynamic blend of the authentic CCR sound and spirit and their unique, creative twists on beloved classics.
The Chicago Tribune reported of Creedence Revived’s attitude: “The band believes that anyone can play dress up, but few can perform the real material and you can bet that if you close your eyes and listen, you’ll forget that you’re listening to a CCR Tribute band and not the real CCR,” says Perez, “We’re always gratified by the overwhelming reaction of our fans. It’s an honor to bring the spirit and power of John Fogerty and CCR to contemporary audiences, and we’re happy to add the Riverfest to that list.”
The Ottawa Riverfest is hosted each summer by the City of Ottawa, the result of over ten months of planning by the municipal Riverfest Committee. A hallmark of suburban community life, the Riverfest creates a family-welcoming environment with such attractions as agriculture day, a children’s sidewalk chalk art contest, river activities, a craft and flea market, the Taste of Ottawa, carnival rides, a parade, fireworks, and live music, including Creedence Revived.
