NY – 4th June, 2016 – The 45th edition of the Copa American Centenario will be played in the United States June 3-26. The 2016 international men’s football association tournament will be the first hosted outside South America. Ten U.S. metropolitan areas have been selected to host games for the 100th Anniversary of this soccer championship: Bay Area, Foxborough, Chicago, Houston, New York/New Jersey, Orlando, Pasadena, Philadelphia, Phoenix and Seattle. Each will host multiple games with most venues hosting at least three matches.
The organizations cooperating to create the event are the Confederation of North America, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF), the South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL), and the Copa America Centenario Local Organizing Committee.
