SAN FRANCISCO, California – March 10, 2016 – The Dinosaur Egg Kickstarter campaign has received tremendous support from the community. With over 113 backers, the campaign is almost close to its funding goal of $5,000. Capital raised from backers will help the Dinosaur Egg Farm bring awareness to preserving the environment.
Each egg comes with a plush dinosaur that’s made with 100% organic cotton, which means the material never touches harmful pesticides, insecticides, herbicide, or genetically modified organisms. They’re soft and perfect for cuddling. Although the dinosaurs are cute, there’s a catch – they’re dead.
This San Francisco start-up sheds light on a pertinent subject that needs more attention from the public, which is to prevent further extinction and take care of the species left in this world.
According to the World Wildlife Fund, experts estimate between 0.01 and 0.1% of all species will become extinct each year. Now it may not seem like an alarming percentage, but keep in mind that there are over 2 million different species on our planet. If these experts are correct, that means that anywhere from 200 to 2,000 extinctions occur each year.
