Chris Brummer has started a new professional blog, “Hedged Positions,” offering insights from one of Washington’s leading commentators on new and overlooked developments for international finance, Fintech, economics and international trade.  The Blog is found on his new website chrisbrummer.com.

Chris Brummer is Agnes N. Williams Research Professor and Faculty Director of Georgetown’s Institute of International Economic Law. Founded by the late John Jackson, the IIEL is one of the world’s leading centers for the study of international trade, and operates as a hub of professional, regulatory and scholarly activity at the Georgetown University Law Center.  It also offers executive education programming for attorneys the world over. 

Prior to joining Georgetown’s faculty with tenure in 2009, Brummer was an assistant professor of law at Vanderbilt Law School. He has also taught at several leading universities as a visiting professor including the universities of Basel, Heidelberg, and the London School of Economics. 

Professor Brummer has worked for a number of think tanks on issues as diverse as renminbi internationalization, EU-US coordination of financial rules, and capital access and financial technology. 

After serving as a member of FINRA’s National Adjudicatory Council, Professor Brummer was nominated twice by President Obama in 2016 and 2017 to serve as a Commissioner on the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. He received unanimous, bipartisan approval in the vote by the Senate Agriculture Committee, though no floor vote was immediately scheduled after the election. The nomination was subsequently withdrawn by President Trump. 

Professor Brummer lectures widely on finance and global governance, as well as on public and private international law, market microstructure and international trade. Mr. Brummer is the author of several books, most recently Minilateralism: How Trade Alliances, Soft Law and Financial Engineering are Redefining Economic Statecraft (2014).  

Chris Brummer earned his J.D. from Columbia Law School, where he graduated with honors, and he holds a Ph.D. in Germanic Studies from the University of Chicago. Before becoming a professor, he practiced law in the New York and London offices of Cravath, Swaine &Moore LLP.

The Boulder Group, a net leased investment brokerage firm, has completed the sale of a single tenant net leased Kmart property located at 10560 Harrison Avenue in Harrison, Ohio for $3,050,000.

The 86,714 square foot Kmart property is located along Interstate 74 exposing the property to over 50,000 vehicles per day. Interstate 74 links the suburb of Harrison to downtown Cincinnati. The Kmart is strategically located within the area’s primary retail destination which features The Home Depot, Kroger, Walgreens, CVS Pharmacy, Big Lots!, McDonald’s, Chipotle, Key Bank, AutoZone and Remke Markets. The average annual household income within a five mile radius of the property is approximately $80,000 per year.

Kmart has a long operating history at this property since 1981 and recently exercised a renewal option further illustrating their commitment to this location. There are four years remaining on the recently extended Kmart lease which expires August 31, 2021. The lease features a low rent per square foot ($2.99) and sold below replacement cost ($39.97 per square foot). Kmart is the third largest discount store chain in North America with more than 900 locations.

Zombie Movie Organized By Marie Victoria Ray And Charese Mongiello – Has Huge Success During Filming

Los Angeles, USA – 7 July, 2017 – Movie producer Marie Victoria Ray proudly announces to the public, the conclusion and readiness of one of her finest projects in recent time.

The piece which is written by Charese Mongiello and directed by Director Jack Tucker is a short comedy horror about Zombies.

The comedy horror is a film that shows a movie crew shooting a film about Zombies in a remote location. A wonderful cast (Reed Iacarella) and (Charese Mongiello) are getting dressed in Zombie Make-up to start shooting the next Zombie action blockbuster. As they Prep to film with (Sayaka Miyatani) as the Makeup Artist of the film, real zombies attack. The crew (Micaiah Fletcher) and (Marie Victoria Ray) Chief PA’s are hip to what is happening but the actors and makeup artists think the director is testing their work.


Though “Tropic Dead” is worth around $25000, the funds spent were just around $1000. A kind hearted cast and crew ensured a great shoot and great footage. The crew and the talent for “Tropic Dead” all pitched in to make an incredible film. The team comprising of over 20 people had one day filming in Los Angeles area and it all came together nicely in the end.

“Everyone was a team player on “Tropic Dead”, this is my 30th short film that I produced and by far it is going to be the best. The makeup artists did a fantastic job I called around to the local makeup schools in Los Angeles. Wow, the talent that comes from these schools is amazing. Our Script supervisor contacted me and she was great! Our Grips, DP, Sound and Art Department were all of the professional calibers. If I didn’t know how much I spent I would think it was a $25,000 shoot. Filming is so much fun when done right and I am glad that everyone was so professiona,” says Mongiello.

The Movie is set to come out in August 2017.

The movie has been tagged top notch by a lot of viewers who have expressed their minds.
